I started my photographic journey about 15 years ago walking around the streets of Melbourne, and the wonderful alleys and laneways in our city.
In doing so, I discovered a treasury of art that was otherwise hidden. Street art by artists that are now famous and known internationally, names such as Adnate, Rone and Kaffeine come to mind. Sadly, a lot of this “public” art has been defaced or painted over.
I was also fascinated by the people of our wonderful city and, Architecture both old and new, the way that Melbourne was changing and growing.
My influencers have been photographers like Bruce Gilden, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Gary Winograd and Vivian Maier and my friend Dominic Sansoni.
I enjoy using old Leica film, and Fujifilm digital cameras. With the odd Rolleicord thrown in.
